I get a very strong synesthetic dark golden-brown yellow colour pervading my mind when I listen to these brief pieces. I think they convey solitude yet comfort. Thats the only way I can explain it. Anthony and the Johnsons rightly won this years Mercury prize, Penguin Cafe orchestra have been around some time now, whilst Vast is a sometimes heavy and loud metal act more used to singing about some of the darker subjects in life.
