BACKGROUND
For pure escapism and in the process of visualising a tranquil, peaceful image I find the above tracks are essential for alleviating stress. Track one, (Biosphere) is so atmospheric you could be in the middle of the Antartic, (but without the frostbite). It was taken from on a double CD and dedicated to Silent Russian Film Dziga Vertov, (Man with a Movie Camera). Similarly, the early Aphex Twin LP Selected Ambient Works Vol 2, is for me the definitive "ambient" musical experience. Again it is a double CD and it is Richard James (Aka Aphex Twin) most seminal, minimalist recordings. I often visualise travelling through caves whenever I hear this particular track. Finally, Tangerine Dream have always been the architects of atmospheric music, and "Birth of Liquid Plejades" is an exceptional journey through the dark recesses of the mind. Strangely, I often hear some of the music I listen to played on BBC 2 during programmes. (I must be doing something right in my choice of music).

Mr Geoff Weston Brixton
I dont this this play list has been very well thought out. Perhaphs some better knowledge of the actual choices would have been helpful. Geoff.

Excellent choices that expand to truely epic proportions with the final Tangerine Dream track; as Julian Cope says; the greatest of all rock'n'roll lullabies. The slight pace of the earlier tracks slowly decreases into an organic, structureless feel of space. Good stuff.

Dear Nichola Levy It surely can not be any more pointless than your spiteful comments. Perhaps you could define "pointless" Regards Roger P Murphy "Some People should keep their vacuous mouths shut, the world would be a better place"
