The connection? Flatmates! Amazingly all three of these great musicians lives with one another at some point. Townes and Roky alledgedly lived in some hippy crash pad somewhere at Texas at some unsubstanciated time (both were ramblers and both none too reliable in their testimony). Then Townes would often crash with pay Guy Clark during one of his homeless spells and alledgedly got Clark and his wife hooked on codeine cough syrup during one stay. Haven't been able to decipher whether Guy and Roky were ever roomies, but i'll let you know if I do.
