Pretty obvious really - I thought I'd have a bash at a Christmas compilation. I love these songs/tunes. The Junky's Christmas is wonderful - suprisingly life-affirming, and best told by WSB himself I think.
Thin White Rope - sadly no more, were one of the great American guitar bands - only they were never recognised as such - this track has lovely guitar work with a splendid white christmas break in the middle. And one of my all time guitar heroes - John Fahey brings up the rear. This gets better each time I listen to it. I love when the melody becomes apparent, and it's fun to hear bluegrass breaks in a russian christmas tune. Merry christmas!
