BACKGROUND
These are all pieces about the completeness of (a) life remembered. Elegie presents the immediacy of grief, the sense of loss and ending and moves me to tears. Your Funny Uncle is one of the most 'human' songs I know and is the story of a young gay man's funeral; it ends on a positive note - 'another life begins today ...'. Finally, Sarajevo, although from a different context gives me goosebumps and seems to me to be a whole life in abstraction captured in 4 minutes.
