BACKGROUND
These are three songs about relationships which share a poignancy, a pensiveness. they are all lyric based, the second being in spanish, but have arrangements which compliment the vocal delivery. In the first song, Van Morrison sings of the moment of joy, the leap of the heart that occurs when a young lover sees his loved one on the street; 'yonder comes my lady, rainbow ribbons in her hair'. Pablo Milanes sings that he will love his lover for ever even should she die. In the last song, John Renbourne tenderly reflects on a relationship that has died; 'sad lady at her portmanteau, with no words left to say'. they're great.....
