Gianandrea Noseda directs the BBC Philharmonic in a concert including Tchaikovsky's Manfred Symphony broadcast live from Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall on Saturday at 1930. This precedes his specially recorded performances of Tchaikovsky’s complete symphonies, broadcast at 6.00pm across the week.

BBC Radio 3 marks Valentine's Day on Wednesday 14 February, broadcasting all three versions of Romeo & Juliet (including world premiere recording of 1870 version). Wednesday: 1869 version 0700-1000. 1870 version & standard version 1700-1930.

BBC Radio 3’s celebration of Tchaikovsky and Stravinsky’s music is brought to a close with the choral version of 1812 Overture, broadcast live from London’s Imperial War Museum, performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra. Conductor Charles Hazlewood Friday 21.00

Edward Downes directed a special recording of Vakula the Smith in a unique recording made by the BBC and conducted by in 1989, including Patricia Routledge reading from Gogol’s tale Saturday 10 February 1300-1700.

New Generation artist Cédric Tiberghien performs various specially made first recordings of Tchaikovsky piano works the Anastasie Valse (his earliest-known surviving work), F# minor Valse (1876) and the original version of the A flat major Moment-Lyrique.

World premiere recordings including Tchaikovsky’s arrangement of Gaudeamus Igitur and "Spring" by the BBC Singers, David Wilson Johnson performing a recently discovered aria from The Oprichnik and David Owen Norris performs the first recording of The Wind That Breaks the Branch.
