I've been driving past it for years and always feel I am not that far from home when I see it. Why do you love this building?:
It has an Art Deco feel to it but it is far more macho than most Art Deco buildings..It looks like something that should be in Batman's Gotham City. At night it is beautifully bathed in green light.
Apparently Hitler had his eye on it as his headquarters ..if he won the war.

Yes . A wonderful building. But one which is equally good inside as out.
Try the Cafeteria if you are in Bloomsbury/ Central London for a good "taste" of this worthy example of functionality combined wth aesthetic granduer
