 | | | | | | ‘We need to honor buildings that are loved rather than merely admired. Admiration is from a distance, and brief, while love is up close and cumulative.’ Stewart Brand – ‘How Buildings Learn’.
We want to find out the qualities that make buildings truly loved, so tell us about a building that you know really well – preferably inside out! . Fill out the form and then press the submit button below to send in your review.
Tips on writing your review
Here are some questions you might want to consider when writing about your best-loved building:
- how do you use this building?
- when did you first encounter it - what were your first impressions?
- what kind of personality does this building have?
- was it designed to look good? to function well?
- was it built for the same purpose that it now uses?
- what materials does it use?
- is there a human influence evident in it?
- has it adapted over time?
- where is it located?
- is it the interior or exterior that makes it loved?
- is it well looked after?
- do other people love it?
Your review can be of the interior or the exterior, or both!
