Entry to the annual BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award competition is via a short entry form and a recording lasting no longer than 10 minutes.
Details of how to enter the 2007 Young Folk Award will be given shortly.
ENTRY RULES
All entrants should be aged between 15 and 20 years on 1st September 2006.
Entrants should live in the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland)
Groups should not consist of more than 6 performers.
An individual can make a maximum of 2 entries provided one entry is as part of a group (three performers or more) and one entry is as a soloist or duo.
Entry forms must be accompanied with a recording lasting no longer than 10 minutes. Cassette, CD, minidisc (standard recording only) and DAT format are all acceptable.
The line-up on the recording must be the same as the line-up which will attend later stages if invited, and the recording must be a representation of a live performance. ALL musicians featured on the recording must be aged between 15 and 20 years inclusive.
Entrants should be happy to make music with people they have only just met.
