Kurt Cobain was not alone when his life was cut short so tragically and so young. There have been other rock legends who also died, some say mysteriously, at the age of 27. We take a look some of them. This was poignantly noted at the time of his death by Wendy O'Connor, Kurt Cobain's mother, when she said;
"Now he's gone and joined that stupid club, I told him not to join that stupid club."
 Janis Joplin - more (Janis Lyn Joplin) - Died 4/10/1970 form a heroin overdose. Born 19/1/1943 in Port Arthur, Texas, U.S. She was the singer for Big Brother and The Holding Company, who recorded Piece of My Heart, The Kozmic Blues Band famous for, Try Just a Little Bit Harder and The Full Tilt Boogie Band who did Me and Bobby McGee
 Jimi Hendrix - more ( James Marshall Hendrix ) (aka Jimmy James) - Died 18/9/1970 - Asphyxiated on his vomit after ingesting a heavy dose of barbiturates. Born 27/11/42 in Seattle, Washington, U.S. as Johnny Allen Hendrix. He was a guitar player and singer for Jimmy James and Blue Flames, The Jimi Hendrix Experience , doing uch classics as I Don't Live Today and Foxy Lady and The Band of Gypsies - He also played for Little Richard, King Curtis, and the Isley Brothers
 Jim Morrison - more ( James Douglas Morrison ) The Lizard King - Died 3/7/1971 - Heart failure due to acute respiratory distress. Born 8/12/1943 in Melbourne, Florida, U.S. - He was the frontman for The Doors, who recorded, Light My Fire and When The Music's Over
Kurt Cobain - more (Kurt Donald Cobain) - Died 8/4/1994 - Shot himself. Born 20/2/1967 in Hoquiam, Seattle, U.S. - Was the lead singer and guitarist for Nirvana producing such classics as Smells Like Teen Spirit and Heart Shaped Box
