Sadly didn't go but heard some of the tracks and it seemed great. Greart pictures on here to look at too!

    Mart - Cornwall
Superb Festival, Highlights were Kate Walsh, Newton Faulkner, Saw Doctors, The Magic Numbers (who on any other night could have easily been the headline act) And the awesome Madness. The mix of music was superb, the Guilford Philharmonic orchestra and rock choir were a superb way to kick saturday and sunday off. The place was really friendly. We'll be back next year for sure. Low points.... The toilets :( they were awful even by festival standards and some lads who thought it would be a really good idea to have a game of football outside out tent at 3.30 am. didnt spoil our weekend tho

Guilfest was great, Crowd were great, Bands were great, whole entertainment was great, the staff there were fantastic, down side was too much alchohol, should be a family event, had a few people who had drunk to much falling over young children including my son who's not used to that sort of thing. score 8/10

Done all the big festivals V, Glasto etc, but never Guilfest before - Magic Numbers, Ordinary Boys and Supergrass (always great live) were the deciding factor this year.Unless the festival wants to maintain it's 'Dadrock' image, more contempory bands will bring a bigger and better mix of crowd (not against parents with kids, welcome it in fact although not safe in the mosh).Friday and Saturday were great. Too many 'Geezers' 'avin' it' on Sunday.Ban fold-up green chairs below the sound desk line and it'll be a great little festie.

Brilliant Festival!!My favourite moments.1: Singing along to Toots & The Maytals - so chilled - it was cool.2: Catching The Anydays set - brilliant 3 piece - new to me.3: Chillin and people watchin in the sunshine with my pals.

Me and the Family were first timers and we all had a great day out, the kids didn't want to go home ! !Some great Music, we wondered into the Surrey Advertiser Tent early and caught a young band Essay For The Ordinary, Fantastic !! Had the tent jumping and it was only 13:00 !!

Could only attend on Sunday, where there were some good acts and some not so good. Sunday opened with The Rock Choir a local amateur outfit of mostly females numbering probably around 100 who put on an amazing performance. They were followed by Skaville UK, a band made up of former members of Selecter, Specials, Bodysnatchers, Bad Manners etc who put on a very danceable ska show. They were swiftly followed by The Beat, similarly good. The Dub Pistols followed, a dire rap act with dangerously high bass levels, who were briefly OK when joined by Terry Hall (ex Specials & Fun Boy 3). Toots & The Maytals followed, but we needed a break from the Dub Pistols noise so wandered around the stalls for a while. The penultimate act were The Magic Numbers, we did not know their music but were impressed by their performance. Finally Madness. A brilliant performance by the original lineup, all on great form especially Suggs, only spoiled a little for some of the older any younger fans by large late teens/twenty and early thirty year olds barging to the front and proceeding to squash everyone smaller when they started "dancing". Overall a good day's entertainment.

Last year was our first Guilfest (with the kids) - went without them this year (sorry kids) - despite a downpour in the middle of the afternoon, Sunday was a great Ska oriented line up. The Beat - great. The Magicf Numbers - brilliant - boy those guys can play. Madness. Well, lets just say down near the front when the boys came on, it was no place for women and children - all hell broke loose and we had to get out Nothing too serious - probably just the normal Madness crowd but no place for (some) women and children. Great day still though.

Guilfest was our first festival and what a brilliant introduction! Ade and I had a fantastic Saturday. We saw Sandi Thom, Jimmy Cliff, Ghosts, Morcheeba, a lovely intimate acoustic set by Miles and Erica from the WonderStuff and Damien Dempsey. But the absolute highlight had to be Squeeze. I was absolutely blown away!!! They were fantastic. Their new keyboard player was great, the music was just faultless. Glenn had a poorly voice but he just kept on going. Guilfest is great experience to be repeated again and again!!

Last year was my first year at Guilfest, and what a week end! Ended up sun burnt but happy :) - note to self take more sun cream. I don't know about bands your mum would like, but definitely worth going.Tickets are bought for this year and looking forward to a mad happy week end.See you all there.... I'll be the one with the Scotland flag

More people should go to Guilfest, its a great family day out, with bands your mum would like

Camping at Guilfest is great fun. We met so many people last year, some of whom we've kept in contact with and are planning to meet at the festival this year. Because we forgot to pack things lack mustard and ketchup for our BBQ I sent Bill out on the scrounge to ask other campers. We all ended up sharing food and having a great party around our mini BBQ's.

    Graham from Norwich
I used to be a dedicated festival goer, but once I had kids, thought that those days had gone for good. But last year I went to Guilfest and loved every minute of it, so did the kids. I got to relive my youth with The Wonder Stuff, Lightning Seeds and Gary Numan, whilst also keeping the kids entertained. Bring it on.

    Marcia Brown from Sutton
Hi there I took my two your boys to Guilfest last year. It was their first festival and my eldest, George, still talks about how much fun he had on his Dads shoulders singing along to Embrace. We've already bought our tickets for this year....we can't wait.
