Scott Mills Diary Here's what we got uo to Magaluf, well almost all of it...
Thrusday :: Friday :: Saturday :: Sunday Thursday 14 JulyWhat Scott said... It's all going very well so far. DJ Sammy called. "Scotty! Homie! You coming for dinner?!" So we went for dinner with DJ Sammy in Palma. Except for Chappers and Neil (you may remember him from the Sara Cox show circa 2001). They opted to shun a swanky celebrity dinner in order to do some research on the Magaluf bar scene. And they were very thorough. Apparently when you walk down the street there are people who physically drag you into bars and force you to drink two pints for 2 Euros with a free shot. Poor Chappers never stood a chance.
Meanwhile at the swanky restaurant DJ Sammy was proving to be the perfect host. He inspected the kitchens before we ordered. Then he insisted that the chef brought out all the meat we'd ordered so he could inspect it before it was cooked. I'm not kidding. After Sammy had said "yes" or "no" to the cuts of meat he allowed the chef to cook it for us.
The main highlight of the dinner was when DJ Sammy managed to almost hospitalise one of our Radio 1 bosses by burning her hand with a very hot apple. No, really. The show is tomorrow so we thought it best not to stay out too late. | A to Z Summer CompilationRecommended LinksOn the web ibiza-spotlight.com ibiza-voice.com visitcardiff.info visitwales.com mallorcaonline.com shagalluf.com newquay.co.uk surfnewquay.co.uk skegness.net butlinsonline.co.uk On bbc.co.uk 1Xtra Live Events Collective - Big Chill BBC Webcams On Radio 1 Music Machine Radio 1 - Glastonbury 2005 Radio 1 - Global Gathering One Life - Get Travelling |
