Edith Bowman
About Edith Bowman...

Edith joined the station in 2003 and her first show for the network was on Saturday 29 March.

She described coming to work at Radio 1 as "a childhood dream" . She's a massive music fan and fanatical gig goer and prior to working at Radio 1 co-presented MTV's Hitlist UK with Cat Deeley as well as Capital FM's Cat and Edith's Hit Music Sunday.

Other work has included interviewing the likes of Liam Gallagher, Robbie Williams, Kylie and U2, presenting BBC 2's Rough Guide To The World, hosting BBC 2 and BBC Choice's coverage of the Notting Hill Carnival, Party in The Park for ITV and Sky One's Big Bash Comedy Awards.

Her partnership with Colin Murray began on Channel 4's breakfast show RISE and the rest is, as they say, history. Not only have they teamed up at Radio 1 but they've played a major role in the BBC's Glastonbury coverage of the last few years.

In 2004 Edith won Celebrity Fame Academy for Comic Relief - get in! Despite her natural talents, attempts to get her singing on the Colin and Edith show have since failed.
