Ironic by Alanis Morrisette, because it shows off my vocal talents and isn't something you'd normally hear at a karaoke night. How did you get into showbiz? I started gymnastics when I was five years old, so got used to performing in front of a large crowd then. From that I went in to dancing and singing. My first proper performance was at primary school I played Jan in Grease but had to do all the singing parts for Sandy. I studied Performing Arts at Chichester University. As part of my job I present, sing and dance daily. Best and worst (or funniest?) moments in your job? The best thing about being is the variety of your job, everyday is different and everyday is great fun. also you never wake up and dread work. It always makes me laugh when people ask, 'Are you a Redcoat?' while I'm in my red coat! Also I was watching the gunge show, when I got dragged out of the audience onto the stage, thinking I'll have none of this, I chased the presenter with a custard pie, but somewhat misjudged the timing of the throw, so not only did I hit him with it, but I also managed to cover a brand new, super-expensive speaker with shaving foam. The stage crew were not best pleased. Ooops! Any advice for our karaoke contestants? Have fun with it. It doesn't matter whether you can sing or not, just get up on stage, do your best and have a laugh. Favourite type of cheese? Andrew Richard Joyce - Andy
How did you get into showbiz? Your funniest moments on stage? The worst moment was forgetting a band's name when bringing them on stage. I was warming the crowd up, I was just about to bring them on stage when I completely forgot their name, so ended up just saying, 'Ladies and Gentlemen, it's showtime!' The best moment was winning Entertainments Team Member of the Year for 2006, and the funniest was hijacking 'the gunge show' and forcing the presenter into the gunge tank! Any advice for our karaoke contestants? And your favourite cheese please? |
