CKay acoustic session
CKay, the man behind global smash Love Nwantiti, plays stripped-down versions of three songs from his debut album, Sad Romance.
CKay has given the world perhaps the biggest Afrobeats song to date. Love Nwantiti has notched up a billion streams on Spotify alone. Now, following three EPs, the Nigerian artist has released his first studio album. It's called Sad Romance, a reference to the bitter-sweet and complex nature of love; as he explains to DJ Edu, the power of his love songs comes from the fact that they are real, telling the stories of his own relationships.
In this episode, CKay performs stripped down versions of three songs from the album: You; his new single Mmadu; and Emiliana, another hit.
