Kidnapping in Nigeria

There's been another kidnapping in Nigeria amid a wave of high profile mass abductions.

There has been another kidnapping in Nigeria, this time in the west of the country. 11 people are reported to have been abducted from the village of Isapa in Kwara state, close to where 35 people were taken last week. This comes amid a wave of high profile mass abductions across the country in recent weeks. We speak to people affected.

In the US over a million people rely on a scheme called Temporary Protected Status. It allows people to live and work in America if their country of origin is unsafe to return to. In February, 350,000 Haitians will lose that protection and face a very uncertain future if they’re returned home, where gangs now control 90% of the capital. Five months on from her last visit to Port au Prince, Nawal al-Maghafi has been to Florida, where a Haitian-American family looks set to be split up by Trump’s immigration policies.

We speak to the owners of 'hero' dogs - after the story went viral of a golden retriever who helped save her owner's life when he suffered a cardiac arrest in his sleep.
