Hurricane Melissa could be strongest ever to hit Jamaica

People in Jamaica are bracing for the impact of Hurricane Melissa.

Hurricane Melissa, which is slowly heading towards Jamaica, has intensified into the strongest possible storm category. It is expected to make landfall in the next 24 hours with deadly winds, storm surges and catastrophic flooding. Parts of the capital, Kingston, are being evacuated. BBC Weather breaks down what to expect, while Jamaicans share how they’re preparing.
