President Trump grants Hungary an exemption from sanctions

President Donald Trump held talks at the White House with Hungary's Prime Minister Victor Orban. Mr Orban secured a one-year break from US sanctions for buying Russian oil and gas.

Also in the programme: US government shutdown continues after Democrats in the Senate block a measure to pay federal employees. We hear from a disgruntled air traffic controller.

And the Nobel prize-winning scientist James Watson - who co-discovered the structure of DNA - has died at the age of 97. We'll hear a tribute to his work from one of his former students.
