BBC investigates testimonies of abduction and torture in Tanzania
Reports of killings and enforced disappearances across the country increased in the run- up to last year's presidential elections.
Victims who spoke to the BBC Africa Eye investigation named Faustine Jackson Mafwele, an assistant commissioner of police, as their interrogator in a police station in Dar-es-Salaam. Neither he nor the Tanzanian police force responded to the allegations.
