Australia to tackle hate speech after Bondi attack
he Prime Minister says visas for those who spread a message of hate will be rejected.
The Australian Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese also announced that his government is set to tackle public hate speech by rejecting visas of those who spread a message of hate and targetting extremist preaching within Australia and those who practice it. Meanwhile the funeral of 10-year old Matilda, the youngest victim, of Sunday's mass shooting has taken place. It was held in Sydney's eastern suburbs. The service was open to local community members who wished to pay their respects, hundreds attended, while security around the event remained tight.
European Union leaders begin two days of talks in Brussels with an aim on making a decision on whether to loan tens of billions of euros in frozen Russian assets to Ukraine to fund its military and economic needs.
And President Trump has delivered a speech in which he said the economy under his leadership is in better shape than many Americans believe.
