Talks between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump's envoys have ended without a breakthrough
Talks in Moscow between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump's envoys have ended without a breakthrough in efforts to end the war in Ukraine. Russian officials said the discussions had not brought peace any closer, although it was also no further away. However, the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, says some progress has been made. Meanwhile Russian forces continue to advance in the Donbas region in the east of Ukraine. We hear from an active serviceman in the region.
The number of people who died following last week's apartment complex fire has risen to 156. We speak to a Hong Kong resident who has been helping with the recovery.
And Sweden has nominated the head man at the Swedish household goods giant IKEA as the candidate to become the next high commissioner of the United Nations refugee agency UNHCR. We find out why he wants to move from the coorperate world to the humanitarian one.
