
Fleeing Gaza
35-year old Layan shares how she fled Gaza with her two daughters.
Since the October 7th attacks by Hamas, we have been bringing you voices of civilians both in Gaza and Israel. One of them is 35-year old Layan, who first fled Gaza City to Khan Younis in the south and has now arrived in Egypt. She shares how she fled with her two daughters.
We speak to a young man who was among the passengers evacuated when a Japan airlines plane burst into flames on the tarmac earlier this week. We also speak to pilots about the incident and about their experiences of “near-misses”.
And after the former Paralympic champion Oscar Pistorius was freed on parole, we explain who he is and what parole means.
