Thousands attend Beirut funeral of top Hamas official

Saleh al-Arouri was killed in a suspected Israeli drone strike.

Thousands of people carrying Palestinian flags have been attending the funeral of the Hamas deputy leader, Saleh al-Arouri, in the Lebanese capital, Beirut. Meanwhile, the Islamic State group has said it carried out Wednesday's twin explosions in the Iranian city of Kerman, and the Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza told Reuters 14 people were killed in a blast at al-Mawasi near Khan Younis. Our Chief International correspondent Lyse Doucet explains this week's developments.
