ICJ hears genocide case against Israel
South Africa argues that Israel's actions and inactions in Gaza, are intended to bring about the destruction of the “Palestinian national, racial and ethnic group”.
The UN's International Court of Justice in the Hague is set to hear a case brought by South Africa today in which it accuses Israel of committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
Ecuador's armed forces say they have arrested more than 300 suspected gang members since the president declared a state of emergency, triggering a wave of deadly violence.
And Poland’s president says he will not rest until the former interior minister and deputy are freed from prison.
