Coronavirus Conversations: Impact on minority ethnic groups
We discuss concerns over Covid-19 deaths among ethnic minority groups.
We look at why in many countries there appears to be a disproportionate number of black and other ethnic minorities affected by Covid-19. Two academics from the US and France discuss the reasons behind the statistics and what they see as “medical racism”. We’ll also hear from ethnic minorities in France, the UK and Norway.
And, more than a million people around the world have now recovered, having known to have had the coronavirus. We’ll hear a few stories from those million.
Each day on the show, we invite a medical expert to answer listener questions. Today, we are joined by Dr Megan Murray from Harvard University.
