The United States and Mexico come to a deal over migrants
Mexico to take back migrants while their asylum claims are processed in the US.
A joint declaration said Mexico would take unprecedented steps to curb illegal immigration, including dismantling human trafficking organisations and prioritising deployment of its National Guard at the border with Guatemala. Mexico will also take back more migrants while their asylum claims are being processed in the US.
Also on the programme, President Trump has just paid a state visit to the United Kingdom, but just how was that trip viewed in the US? And finally, seventy years ago today one of the most influential novels of the twentieth century was first published, 1984 by George Orwell. We discuss why the book's appeal has never wavered amongst the public and we also hear from Orwell's son.
