India protests: Violence erupts in Delhi

There have been more protests today as anger at a citizenship law spreads across India

There have been protests in India's capital, Delhi, as anger at a citizenship law spreads across the country. The demonstrations have been caused by the Citizenship Amendment Act, which is a new law that offers citizenship to non-Muslims from three nearby countries. Muslims are not allowed to apply. We talk to our reporters around India to get the latest.

Also, large crowds of demonstrators have gathered in central Paris to protest against the French government's plans to overhaul the pension system. We speak to our correspondent in Paris.

And more than 2,000 government, UN and business leaders are gathering in Geneva to attend the first-ever Global Refugee Forum. One of the key speakers today was Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. We hear some of what he said and get analysis from BBC Turkish.
