India citizenship bill: PM appeals for calm
Protests have continued in India against the new citizenship law
The Indian prime minister, Narendra Modi, has appealed for calm as violent protests against a new law on illegal migrants entered a fifth day. We hear more from our reporter on the ground. We also hear from a female protester, who is seen in viral video protecting a man from baton wielding policeman. She ends up getting beaten up herself.
We’ll also return to anti-government protests in Lebanon after another violent night in the capital Beirut.
And we discuss a report saying that a third of the poorest countries in the world are dealing with high levels of obesity as well as under-nourishment. We ask nutritionists in the developing countries about the challenges of maintaining a healthy diet.
