Global climate strike
Millions of people have joined the global climate strike led by schoolchildren.
There have been massive crowds in cities around the world, with protesters demanding immediate action on global warming. We speak to protesters and also hear from listeners about how climate change is affecting them. And we speak to different generations of climate activists and ask whether activism works.
And Isra Hirsi, the co-founder of the U.S. Youth Climate Strike and the daughter of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, talks about her activism and environmental racism, issues that specifically affect African-American and indigenous communities.
