US announces new rules for migrant detention

Migrant families could face indefinite detention.

Migrant families who cross the southern border of the US illegally could be detained indefinitely under a new regulation announced by the Trump administration. We'll hear more from our White House reporter.

We have been talking to Richard Navarro from Venezuela. His 9-year-old son Brayan shot and killed last week. The family was attacked by armed men as they drove home from a boys’ football tournament.

And we have a lovely story about an 89-year old grandmother Joy Ryan and her grandson Brad, who have been getting a lot of attention on media with their plan to visit all 61 national parks in the United States. Joy and Brad spoke to us about their adventure.
