Ethiopia is opening its shared border with Eritrea for the first time in decades on Tuesday. The move means families who haven't seen each other over many long years will finally be able to reunite.
The US has threatened sanctions against the International Criminal Court if it goes ahead with prosecutions against Americans. The court is currently considering prosecuting US servicemen over alleged detainee abuse in Afghanistan.
The Speaker of the Tanzanian parliament, Job Ndugai, has prohibited all female MPs wearing fake nails and eye lashes from entering the parliament. The new order will be an addition to the already existing parliamentary regulations which prohibit men and women wearing short dresses and jeans to the parliament.
