South Sudan's government has reached a power-sharing agreement with rebels
South Sudan's government has reached a power-sharing agreement with the country's main rebel group. President Salva Kiir and rebel leader Riek Machar signed the deal in neighbouring Sudan.
At least 82 people are now known to have died after a powerful earthquake hit the Indonesian island of Lombok on Sunday, emergency officials say. Hundreds of people have been wounded by the quake, disaster management officials added.
Members of the opposition in Zimbabwe are due to appear in court today for a bail hearing on violence charges. Unrest broke out in the capital Harare after President Mnangagwa was declared winner of elections held in July.
