Zimbabwean Army Seizes Power
The Zimbabwean president, Robert Mugabe, is under house arrest, South Africa has confirmed.
The South African government has confirmed that the Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe is under house arrest, as the army has seized power in the country. A military spokesman said the president was safe and denied there had been a coup. We discuss whether Mr Mugabe's 37-year rule is coming to an end.
