The British Prime Minister, Theresa May, has arrived in Brussels after a night of talks to resolve one of the key Brexit stumbling blocks - the Irish border.
The White House says it would be counterproductive for the Palestinians to refuse to meet the US vice-president, amid anger over Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
