Myanmar Cancels UN Rakhine Visit

The United Nations says a planned visit to Myanmar's Rakhine state, which has seen a mass exodus of Rohingya Muslims, has been cancelled by the authorities. Unicef says it believes children fleeing war zones and attempting to reach Europe are being exploited by traffickers and criminal gangs. Chinese researchers say they have performed precise "chemical surgery" on human embryos to remove the disease beta-thalassemia.
