
2000 Trapped in C.A.R Church by Militias
Thousands have been displaced in Central African Republic violence
Some 2000 people in the Central African Republic are trapped in a church compound surrounded by armed militias. They are all Muslims displaced by violence, who have found temporary refuge in the seminary in a small town called Bangassou. The story illustrates the reality of the C.A.R, a country unable to break the cycle of violence.
Tropical storm Harvey may have moved east towards Louisiana, that doesn't mean the crisis over in Texas. Indeed, the state Governor has warned the worst of the flooding is far from over.
