Creamed Leek Bake
Serves 6
Ingredients
- 200g large diced leeks
- 50g large diced onions
- 25g butter
- 1 tsp (0.005 litres) dried thyme
- 1 tsp (0.005 litres) garlic
- 2 slices of white bread – diced into 1cm cubes
- 50g grated cheddar
- bechamel sauce
- 500ml milk
- 1 onion halved
- 2 bay leaves
- 30g corn flour with 30ml cold water
Method
1. Sweat the leeks and onions with the butter until they start to colour

2. Remove from heat and place into a dish
3. Pour the bechamel sauce over the top of the leeks and onions
4. Toast the bread in a pan with a little bit of olive oil
5. Sprinkle over grated cheese
6. Bake in oven at 200°C for 10 minutes
