Colonel Murnieks
Murnieks is pretty much the only ex-KGB officer left at Riga Police HQ.
He's an ethnic Russian, and since independence, he's had a difficult time. However, he's a committed and diligent police officer, with effective means of getting the results he wants.
You didn't get any of this shit under the KGB. Granted, it wasn't perfect, but…Murnieks
He's a clever and calculating operator, watching all and keeping quiet.
He's horrified at what has happened to Latvia since the Russians left, and is looking forward to a long retirement.
