Anna Miles

Anna Miles co-presents and produces BBC Radio Scotland's daily magazine programme.

Anna Miles was brought up in Newcastle upon Tyne. A keen musician, on arriving in Scotland, Anna began singing and playing piano in the indie band Maple Leaves with whom she released several E.P’s and played at festivals such as T in the Park. Her singing can also be heard on the Belle and Sebastian album ‘God Help The Girl,’ and Miaoux Miaoux’s ‘Light of the North’.

Alongside her passion for music, Anna loves cooking and writing about food, and since joining the MacAulay & Co team in 2010 her favourite parts of the programme have undoubtedly been the food features.

A fluent Spanish speaker, Anna is also enthusiastic about language learning, and is currently learning French.

Having spent several years in Glasgow, Anna is extremely proud of her adopted city and now considers herself to be a proud ‘Geor-weigan’.
