Professor Alan Wilson

Professor Alan Wilson is a world renowned expert in the locomotory mechanics of animals and head of the Structure and Motion Lab at the Royal Veterinary College. Alan is a pioneer of animal tracking technology and has combined this with high speed photography and the very latest electronic devices to track and measure the athletic performance of wild cheetahs and lions in Africa. In the first study of its kind, Alan and his team advanced this technology, to study pet cats for the BBC Horizon TV programme ‘The Secret Life of the Cat’ and ‘Little Cat Diaries’.
