Detective David Baker, who caught killer Colin Pitchfork, dies
Former Detective Chief Superintendent David Baker, who caught the rapist and murderer Colin Pitchfork, using DNA fingerprint evidence for the very first time in the 1980s, has died.
His legacy has changed policing forever. In 2021 he spoke with BBC Leicester’s Ben Jackson.
