The 'celebrity' gorilla in a Leeds museum
A new exhibition at Leeds' Abbey House Museum called 'In the Picture' features a selection of objects, thought-provoking paintings and photographs drawn from the vast Leeds Museums and Galleries collection. Launched in conjunction with city-wide celebrations to mark Leeds 400, the exhibition seeks to shine a light on little-known chapters in the story of Leeds and the huge variety of people, places and events which have shaped the city’s legacy.
Jess Bayley went to speak to Kitty Ross from the museum.
