First Indian female councillor championing diverse voices
Councillor Adorabelle Shaikh has been honoured by the Vasco Goan Association UK for her efforts as a politician and valuable voice for her community.
She won her first election in 2019, becoming the first female South Asian councillor for Swindon Borough.
Now she is keen to inspire other women to have the confidence to "push your elbows out and raise your voice".
