Could Herefordshire become UK City of Culture?
The county has thrown in a bid for the 2029 title, which could lead to funding of £10million for the arts. Previous winners include Derry, Hull, Coventry and Bradford.
A change in the entry criteria has seen areas, rather than cities alone, being permitted to enter.
Jessica Prosser from The Courtyard Theatre and Councillor Elissa Swinglehurst from Herefordshire Council say the county offers a unique rural voice, with an appetite to spread the arts across the county, in to villages, fields and farms.
