Bloomin' eck! Daffs in Carlisle

Those yellow harbingers of spring have been spotted in Cumbria unusually early this year. Matthew Murgatroyd is head gardener at Holker Hall near Cartmel, and he's planted 30,000 bulbs this autumn, so he knows a thing or two about them.
