The surgeon who was inspired by her own childhood surgery
Dr Olivia Howe, a Surgical Trainee at NUH, was inspired by her own surgery, aged 10.
At age 10, Dr Olivia Howe had reconstructive surgery on her ear. She was born with a condition that meant she had a very small ear and no ear canal. After her surgery, she was so inspired by the surgeon that treated her, she began to operate on her teddy bears.
She's now a surgical trainee at Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH), hoping to help people in the same way she was helped.
The BBC's Ash Geaney went to meet her.
