Chris Hoy's cancer bravery has extended my life
Mike Kirby from Bridlington was inspired to get checked because of the former Olympian.
70-year-old Mike Kirby from Bridlington went for a test after seeing Sir Chris Hoy reveal that he had terminal prostate cancer. Mike went on to receive a positive result for prostate cancer but fortunately was found early and he received successful surgery.
Prostate Cancer UK says in 2022 more than 64 thousand men were diagnosed with the disease - surpassing the number of people being diagnosed with breast cancer in the same year. Image Credit: Prostate Cancer UK
