Rare ‘human-like’ fungi found in Hertfordshire

One of Britain's rarest fungi has been spotted in Hertfordshire.

The extremely rare Vaulted Earthstar was found on the Box Moor Estate in Hemel Hempstead by a member of the public.

The fungi has an almost ‘human-like’ appearance. But what else makes it so special?
