Queensbury residents want to save this tunnel
Over 100 people gathered around Queensbury Tunnel in protest of the Government’s decision to fill it in. Queensbury Tunnel Society (QTS) want the space to become a greenway, or shared-use path, linking Bradford to Calderdale. It was said by Naz Shah, MP for Bradford West, that “It will cost us less than £7 million to restore it, to make it for the benefit of the local people. I think it’s a short-sighted decision to try and close this.”
